The illicit acts of NJ Ayuk and African Energy Chamber do not appear to be slowing down. Slowly and steadily, this so-called US-trained lawyer and businessman NJ Ayuk, became a pawn in these lobbyists’ hands.
Furthermore, AEC is supported by US independents and oil giants that liberally fund, network, and lobby. Although openly supporting the AEC’s harmful policies, which go against global net zero aspirations, is a disgrace.
As global warming worsens and popular sentiment shifts away from fossil fuels, drastic tactics like supporting true fascists like NJ Ayuk will be inevitable. This enterprise must be destroyed immediately for the sake of our planet and global democracy.
Along with his bunch of US government stooges and lobbyists , this so called ‘ Messiah of the Africans’ is conspiring against the future and prosperity of the African masses.
While showing no shame and grace, these lobbyists are blaming banks and other financial institutions of “collaborating to refuse financing and investment in fossil fuel corporations” to the disadvantage of Africans. NJ Ayuk and his partners must know that Africans are more than capable of deciding on their own future.
Ayuk, who wants to decarbonize the energy business, said limiting investment in Africa Oil & Gas “would harm and upset the global economy.” On the other hand, he recommended Africans to avoid “expensive solar and wind.”
Henchmen to the Oil and pipeline lobbyists
NJ Ayuk, President of the African Energy Chamber, spoke out in favor of the Trans-Saharan Pipeline. His actions, as indicated by his stamen, were also ‘welcomed’ by every person and entity involved in the plan.
So, the African Energy Chamber does not care about the environment or ordinary people. The African Energy Chamber thinks Africans can adapt to global warming. Don’t worry about opening the world’s largest carbon reservoir affecting the climate. Their attack on fundamental environmental review is merely another front for the fossil fuel sector, in our eyes.
Conspiring against COP26
NJ Ayuk’s nefarious plans continued. He even vent out his anger against highly respected COP26 summit aimed at resolving the global climate crisis. He complimented Russia and China for not attending the conference for their own reasons. The message is clear: he stands with those opposed to such measures. He also works for US politicians who aim to destabilize these actions in favor of climate control.
Being an oil industry pawn
And only people without morals can keep up with Mr. Ayuk’s level of shamefulness. He grew up in a world where money and power control the norms and laws, and elite status is defined by getting away with things ordinary citizens can’t. He will easily defeat his opponents.
And Mr. Ayuk accuses Europe of forcing its notion of climate change on Africans. Globally, oil and gas development is opposed. The African Energy Chamber’s ingenious manipulation may have unfairly targeted Africans. However, individuals in Europe and beyond are creating new and successful ways to resist African coal, oil, and gas development.
Mass deception
We must be ready to witness some more disgraceful acts in the same context post covid-19 situation. Africa’s governments, on the other hand are surely going to counter random threats and oppositions from the oil and gas development initiatives. To deal with environmental groups, Mr. Nj Ayuk is obviously aware of this issue and has been travelling Africa.
Protests on or near oil and gas infrastructure are prohibited by an anti-democratic law. Of course, the African Energy Chamber unanimously supports any such law.
But we must not give up easy and continue to fight any such threat with all our might. As proud citizens, we will do all possible to defend our nation.
